ParticipantHi,
Our SGV56A03 is about 2 years old and has stopped finishing its washing cycle. It seems to get through the main wash OK but then runs for hours with a 1 in the display when I open the door. I can also hear the pump running the whole time its doing this.
After scanning the other posts on the forum I’m guessing its the control module relay, but it also fails on a quick wash cycle with the same fault.
Its resets OK each time.I’m going to pull the control board out anyway for a look, but have any of you any other hints about possible faults?
Thanks
Simon C

If the pump is running continuously, it may well be a leak and the base has flooded causing the flood protection switch to activate.

Hi
Have seen this fault. I found that if the metering ribbed hose or metering unit on L/H side gets gunged up, this can send electronics into confusion.
Worth checking that hose anyway. Situated behind front plinth app 1ft in length and ‘O’ ringed either end; one to metering unit other end to sump.As Always always unplug before doing any work :plug:
If in any doubts of ability just look no further tahn repairs@

Pulled the relay board over the weekend and its perfect. I resoldered all the joints anyway while I was at it. No luck…
Thanks for the other suggestions, I try them tonight.
The other thing that we have noticed is that during the first filling cycle the water inlet valve pulses 5 or 6 times right a the start. Its always done this since new, but is this normal?

Sometimes high water pressure can cause this effect, if the valve is recieving pulsed power though, this is not normal.

Pay particular attention to Gegsy’s post about the hose from the meter tank to the sump….that will solve your problem 😉
