Hello you good whitegoods people, Fault E08 motor fault, watched You Tube video on E08 fault. Replaced brushes on motor started on wash cycle, strange high pitched sound from motor, motor rotated upto 1400 rpm but high pitched sound appeared as revs hit certain points. Now sparking from brushes and motor stuttering and now machine registering E08 fault.
Motor tacho was 47.3 ohm at rest on spinning motor the resistance changed.
Due to sparking I suspect motor is kaput!
Thanking you all in advance – any ideas?

Yup, motor commutator of the brushes you have aren’t right I’d think. You may get away with cleaning the comm up though.

There are at least 10 different variants of that model. They have been using a very poor, Chinese made motor in the last few years. If you can give us the full model number and any other numbers from the rating plate inside the door and if possible the make of the motor from the label on it we may be able to help.
