I am in a flat with a (Whirlpool?) Generation 2000+ integrated cooker which looks fairly knackered, as you can see in the photo.
I suspect the thermostat is blown, the oven doesn’t seem to stop heating at the temperature you set – the heating element at the back gets as hot as the sun and incinerates your food (and ruined a very nice baking dish too).
Secondly the hobs seem to do the same, heat up to infinity if you dare use the high setting, then don’t cool back down until you turn them off completely.
This is not only inconvenient but I suspect dangerous as well. Can anyone advise what it might take to repair? Any help greatly appreciated!
