ParticipantJust come back from holiday and used dishwasher for the first time. It appeared to start OK. After a few tens of minutes I came back into the kitchen to hear it humming loudly and what I presume to be error code 1 on the display (left most digit lit – none of the programme LEDs lit).
The dishwasher was full of dirty water and I think some material which was trapped in the dishwasher before we left from the look of it. I’ve emptied this all and taken the machine apart and ensured all accessible hoses, including those connected to the fill matrix are clear. I’ve also ensured that the pump is running and not jammed. The dishwasher has now emptied itself of the final dregs of water, but I can’t persuade it to do anything but show a 1 as an error code and hum at me.
Any clues where I should be looking next please.
Thanks
Andy

Does it still operate even with the door open?

No – door open stops the machine as usual

Yes – that’s one of the odd things – the program reset function has no effect

Then the bad news is that the main ‘control unit’ has died. 🙁
Before you went on holiday did you ensure the dishwasher was switched off or was the power button still left on?

Thank you. Yes – that’s what I was worried may have happened. I presume there is no master reset function on the control board? Dishwasher was turned off on unit power switch when we went away. It all started up OK this morning, but clearly seems to have had a fit since ;-( Time for a new machine I think…
The gemilins clearly took residence in the house while we were away. Windows 10 install also locked up at 82{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} this afternoon…
