    Hi,
Yesterday the diswasher tripped the RCS about 10 mins into the cycle.
Now it trips as soon as the door is closes to start a programme, even the cold rinse.

I have taken off the side and isolated the heating element (following an earleir thread) but it is still tripping the RCD.

I have taken off the fron door panel and threre is no obvious damen to the witing in the door hinge.

    What to look for next?

Circulating pump, main control board, dispenser solenoid, heater diverter motor…….(that’s enough for now). Let’s know what you found.

It seems to be the main circulating pump – doswasher operates with earth lead removed form pump.

Looks like cost of repair is un economic – so probably getting a new one.

I have found a new pump for £50, so considering replacng the failty one.

I have not removed the pump so not sure how difficult it is to replace, or if need any more parts to complete the job.

I would appreciate your advice on if it is worth it.

You’ll have to be careful here. Is that just for the motor or just the pump section or the motor/pump complete? If you found it on Fleabay then good luck with that.

It’s a challenge for the amateur that’s for sure.

That’s often the reason why many DIYers have appliances in bits for days on end whilst they find more parts are required. But one part you’ll need is a thin jubilee clip the fits between the pump housing and heater.

    Good luck …!
