ParticipantI have a Hotpoint FDL570 and the washing kicks start normally, but the Salt, RinseAid and Wash light start blinking and the whole process stops. I can see some leakage of water under the machine when I pulled it outside the cabinet. Any idea about the fault? Thank you.

That error code is exactly that that, you have a leak in the base which needs investigating and fixing.

Thanks. I can see the rubber gasket is not seated properly. I took it out and installed it back, but no joy. Is that something available to buy? If so, how much?

Ah, I have a horrible suspicion that comes as part of an inner door panel, part not listed as a separate item, not usually a cause of leaks into the base though.

I opened the the bottom plastic cover of the dishwasher today and found that the leakage is from the bottom side of the machine. Looks like the motor is leaking. I unplugged the motor. Do you know how much this unit can cost?

Mate, the leakage is from the Heating Element. There is a tiny hole and the water leaks through that hole. Not sure whether the leakage has damaged the coil as well. Do you think it’s worth closing the hole and check again. Is the Heating element expensive to buy?

Merry Christmas.
Managed to replace the heating element. It stopped leaking. Tried the wash cycle with Daily Wash and looked OK for an hour, I could listen to the washing sound from inside and then stopped with error code flashing Salt+Rinse Aid + Drying. Switched the machine off and on. Change it to Speed Mode, but same effect. Washed for a while and stopped with same error code. It sounds like the machine is still trying to do something, but no joy. Already spent £50!!!December 27, 2015 at 4:35 pm #433226iadom
