It looks like I may have a similar issue to steeno69, however the symptoms are slightly different. Am getting an OE code when running a full wash or the clean cycle. Switching off and then running rinse/spin empties the machine as normal – no OE code. Running rinse/spin on it’s own and it empties correctly (every time) with no OE code. I have checked filter – clear, bottom of tub – no socks or other blockage, drainage tube and sink spigot – clear and no obvious obstruction if I blow down it. I can’t feel anything stuck in the impeller, but it is not easy to see. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Latest update: Drying cycle completes, but excess water prevented door being unlocked. Clothes came out steamy rather than dry.

    Hi

Check for elastic bands,5p coins eat round the impeller and also that the air switch is sensing empty…dirty scum causes the pressure switch to register full or part full of water. carry out several 95c washes with powder not liquid detergent.

    Thanks Bryan!
Think I’ll get the drain pump out so that I can inspect it properly. I’m guessing that the air switch is mounted somewhere near the top of the machine? Does the drain cycle run for a limited time and then fail because it’s emptying too slowly?

All sorted. I replaced the pump and it now seems to be emptying much more efficiently. The old pump motor can be rotated by hand but feels “notchy”.
