Hi,
Hope you can help, our trusty Neff Oven B1644N0GB/03 suddenly all the heating elements have stopped working, though the fan, lights and everything else seems to function as normal. You rotate the function selector and seems to go through all the motions but none of the elements heat up – oven, grill, top/bottom heat – nothing.Any ideas what this could be? is there some sort of internal fuse for all the heating elements?

.Turn the function selector from Large grill to Small grill and back again five times.

Hi,
Yes, tried that, just tried it again just in case, no such luck. (No message appears – just wondering whether its worth trying to put it in Demo Mode and then turning it off – but manual does not say how to put it in Demo Mode?)
One thing I did notice, the display keeps flickering between functions e.g. if its on ‘Circotherm Intensive’, sometimes it will flicker to ‘Circotherm’ it does this with other functions as well.

long shot thermal limiter item 0503 page 5I would take the main board out and look for blown tracks. it could also be one of the relay blown on the main board is fixable if you can find out which one and source a replacement and solder it in

Just turned it off from the fuse box and turned it on 30secs later, it said demo mode on.
tried the switching from large to small grill 5 times, nothing on display.
Other parts of the web said to press the rapid heat button for 6secs – this showed the language settings after 6 secs.I just rang Neff to see what they say about this Demo mode business – the guys said to turn it off from the fuse for at least 2hrs! then press the rapid heat button for 10 seconds.
I’ve turned it off from the fuse and will leave off overnight, lets see what happens in the morning – the family’s Sunday Roast depends on this 🙂

Thanks Electrofix for prompting to check the Demo Mode again – I was about to shell out for the Neff Repair+Protect at £14 per/month
What worked in the end was to switch the selector from large grill -> small grill -> large grill in QUICK succession. Demo Settings Off will briefly appear. I was doing it a leisurely pace before. Hence it didn’t work.
Full story:(may be will help someone else in the future who falls victim to this)
This morning, I switched on the oven, display said: ‘Demo Setttings On’. I set the clock. Pressed the rapid heat button for 10secs (a few seconds in the language settings showed). Tried turning on the grill, remained cool. Tried the switch from large grill -> small grill and back (I did it a leisurely pace). (Nothing about Demo on display). Oven still not heating.
Turned Oven off again at fuse, turned on 1 minute later. ‘Demo Settings On’ was displayed. Tried switching the selector quickly from large grill to small grill and back. ‘Demo Settings Off’ briefly appeared. Oven started working!Man, we are so relieved, can’t believe this stupid demo mode has given us all this grief!!
