It seems that the thermostat sensor is not working correctly. When the fridge/freezer is plugged in, the motor starts fine, the fridge/freezer cools down to the required temperature and the motor stops once it reaches the required temperature as it should. However, the problem is that once the temperature rises again, the motor should start up again to cool it down but it doesn’t. The only way to start it up again is by turning it off and turning it on again. Do you know what the problem is and how it can be fixed?

    Hope you can help.

    Hi Berard,

There’s a few things it dould be I’m afraid including the electronics or the compressor itself. ‘Fraid it’s one of those “tricky to remotely diagnose” ones without a lot more information I think unless any of the guys know of a specific issue with the appliance.

The most likely fault is the failure of one of the foamed in sensors, replacement is not posible but there is a service resolution that can be done by an engineer, (not a diy repair) suggest you click on the big red tool box (repairs@) to find an independent engineer in your area to help you.
