Hi,
I need a pair of main oven door hinges for a customer that has phoned this afternoon.
The model is UY46K Serial no according to the customer is 31100079.
Its a bit confusing as to which hinges are the ones I need online. If anybody knows the correct part numbers it would be appreciated.

Is it a UT46K or a UY46K?
Bad news if it is a UY46K, there are three versions of UY46K, the commercial code is needed to ID correctly.
Unless you can find out if it is a UY46K, a UY46K Mk2 or a UY46K Mk2(T)
The last two have a different hinge to the UY46K. 🙁

Where will the customer find the commercial code? I presume its on the back of the machine where the customer can’t see.
Its an hour round trip to this machine, the customer just read everything off the sticker inside the door. He never mentioned MK2 or/and (T)Re: Hotpoint oven UY46K Main oven door hinges
The commercial code should be on the rating plate on the front but the Hotpoint ones often fade or peel off.
The commercial code for the UY46K is 031634
for the UY46KMk2 it is 053613
for the UY46K Mk2(T) it is 045313Those codes will be part of a slightly longer 11 digit number often with several zeros at the end. The commercial code is usually the 3rd to 8th number of the larger number.

They’ve read me the model and serial number from the sticker inside the door so I’ll ask them if there are any other numbers on there. It may be the rating plate your talking about, fingers crossed. How many numbers do they usually have?

Just in case you manage to find out the correct model, the part number for the UY46K is C00223945.
For the UY46K Mk2 and UY46K Mk2(T) it is C00196304.Jim.
