hi all,i went to this d/w that was faulty.it comes up with check water after the drain pump on,changed reed no good,check drain fine.what am i missing,richard.thanks.

did the unit start the programme and fill ? if no
this unit uses a 3 phase drain pump and senses the current to the pump to determine if the unit is empty. if the pump is worn the current increases and the unit wrongly assumes it is still full

Is this at start up ? The start up procedure for these machines is as follows.
After start button operated:
Drain pump runs for approx 1 min.
Pause
Heat pump runs for approx 10secs.
Pause.
1 sec burst of water.
Pause
Then it starts filling.
You can get a fail to start with something as simple as the drain pump access lid being loose or out of position.
