ParticipantBrand new dishwasher won’t work and keeps giving “check water supply error” after a few minutes of starting.
I have exhausted all avenues I can think of:
Bosch service can’t help;
Water supply authority can’t help;
Plumber can’t do any more (already spent $500 on plumber);
Service technician can’t help;
Local retailer can’t help me find a model that will work.I have a low flow apparently… of only 7.5 litres per minute at the water inlet connection point.
Is there any way around this on the Bosch?
Is there a make and model that isn’t so sensitive to low water flow?
Can’t believe I am (it seems) the only person in Melbourne Australia with this issue…

its a problem with a lot of modern appliances where the water pressure is low
in the area where you live do other people have low water pressure problems ?
you could add a pump to raise the pressure.

Hi Dave,
Yes the neighbours also have low pressure.
I am coming around to the idea of the pump to increase the pressure… I would prefer to buy another dishwasher if I knew it would work rather than introduce a pump (and hence another potential point of failure).
If I do go down the pump road then I have to weigh the pros and cons, I don’t have a lot of room for a pump.
Thank you for the reply,
Justin

have you asked you neighbours what units they have ?
might give you a clue as to which ones may work

Yep – they have a bosch! But not as old as mine.
Will ask the other neighbours on the weekend…
Spoke before to an experienced technician and he has come across the problem a few times… he recommends a booster pump to fix the problem as well.
I will have to get serious about researching a pump.
