On some fill cycles, about a cup of water is ejected from the top of the matrix/heat exchanger. Float assembly has been replaced. I would be grateful for some suggestions as to why this happens. Thanks.

The integral vent valve in the top left of the matrix could be clogged with detritus??

It’s certainly discoloured and difficult to see. Despite my best efforts to clean it out, it could still be clogged. I’ll give it another go.

Now thoroughly clean; no change to the overspill behaviour though.

If you have very high water pressure you might try turning the flow rate down slightly. đŸ’¡

It has only recently started doing this, so unless the water pressure has changed… I feel it is a control issue. It only happens at some points in the programme, for example the last fill at the end of test programme P1. The inlet valve energises 3-4 times in 1 sec intervals (approx), beyond the float/diaphragm control switching. The behaviour seems consistant and no errors are reported.
