I have just found my AEG 4040 pump running even though the machine was switched off.

I have had a bit of a look (unplugged it first!) and have noticed a tiny split in the drain hose where it leaves the machine with a very fine jet of water spraying out. Could this have caused a short?

    Is this a common fault?

    😥 😥

it’s more likely the base has filled with water and activated the anti-flood protection switch.

You’ll need to check that as well as replcing the hose, once you’ve pulled the plug of course 😀

Leave it to dry out for a couple of days after the repair, it should (hopefully) have not done any damamge to electrical components.

    Dave.
