Past few days I have noticed a change in noise this carrys on going for some time after the machine is switched off so I doubt it’s frozen fans
Compressor is on all the time and it’s too hot to touch the grill on the back is also getting hot at the top and bottom
The freezer is working and air coming from it is as cold as ever but the fridge isn’t cooling as well as it should definitely not as cool as normal
Things I have tried
I defrosted it for about 8 hours
I have taken the service panel from the back of the freezer off
The drip vent for that was iced up and that’s about it (cleared that)The fridge is a sealed unit so can’t get at anything from that.
Really stuck here because I’m out of work and really can’t afford this

It could be the sensor in the fridge or the evap one but from the description it could just as easily be a naffed compressor.
Sensor not so bad. Pain to change but can be done.

If the compressor is gone it’s a death sentence I expect as that’s not repairable DIY and not cheap.
