I have a Zanussi ZWF14791W washing machine. I’ve had it from new and it has never accurately predicted the running time of a program. It’s become a running joke in the house that the the washing machine has the mystical 1min left because in reality that could mean 10mins, 20mins, you just never know.
In trying to diagnose a fault which eventually turned out to be the door lock recently, I watched the Super quick program through twice (believe it or not). It predicts that the program should take 45mins, but on both runs it filled with water and then washed the load until there was 4 mins left, then drained it, spun it, then at 1 min left it started rinsing, did two rinses and then spun the clothes taking a total of at least 70 mins.
I’m just intrigued if this is a specific fault with my machine (it’s done it from new) or if this is a programming fault with the model range. It’s always seemed completely pointless having a timer which bears no earthly relation to the actual running times.
Any thoughts?
