Machine wouldn’t spin properly so unplugged the small sensor plug from the motor and tried again. Span perfectly and seems to work as normal through several washes. I’ve looked up the part (00637879) – called a 3G sensor. Googled that and got a BSH video from BSH Chile and reading between the lines (my Spanish is not brilliant) it’s seems to be a motor mounted out of balance sensor.
Question is why does the machine work fine with it unplugged? Does it harm the machine if left unplugged? I can replace it…. just curious about its function and necessity.
would be interested to find its function, seems weird the machine it not setup to detect its not connected.
not many people seem to have bosch info on here, one that springs to mind is NOMAD suggest you pm him and ask if he can help
Thanks for the replies.
I was interested to find out what it did as it didn’t throw a fault code. I guessed it might be an OOB sensor and even though I found the 3G sensor on BSH site I wasn’t sure exactly what it did.
They don’t fail that often . There are occasions when the motor gets noisy (even from new) and that can cause problems with the 3D sensor (probably electrical noise interference) The ones that do fail tend to show up fairly early in their life .
