I’m having problems with my Indesit DI 67. When switched and dial turned to a programme it sounds as though it has started and then the Pre Wash light flashes and it all grins to a halt. The manual advises ‘call for technical assistance. Can I sort this myself?

Count the flashes between the pauses and let us know. There should be some sort of sequence to it.

It sounds like the anti flood switch has been activated, your dishwasher may have a leak or may have overfilled – have a read through the other indesit posts in this forum this is a fairly common querey.

If you are unsure get an engineer to check it out for you.

😀 Thanks to this forum I have fixed my dishwasher. I guess it must have been the anti-flood switch activated as a result of an overfill as I pulled the dishwasher out, tilted at back and forth a few times (as per a recommendation by a previous enquirer) and it is now working fine. Can an overfill occur as a result of a two year old turning the programming switch round and round during a wash cycle?

Theoretically the two year old shouldn’t affect the waterworks but, being Indesit, you never know……..
