KeymasterHi,
My Bosch WFB 2000 is playing up. Sometimes it fails to drain properly (though this can be overcome by sending it round on another program) and other times it won’t spin properly and all the clothes are soaking wet.Am I right in thinking that probably both the pump, and the brushes on the drive motor could do with replacing?
I think the right pump is the PMP230, is that correct?
I’ve also no idea which brushes to get. Can you help? Many thanks,
Jamie.

Jamie,
Have you actually taken the filter cover off and checked the pump is blocked? Is the impellor rotating? Full model number would be appreciated to establish the correct pump number but it is NOT PMP230!

If it fails to drain then it will not spin. Are you sure you have two separate faults?
Have you had a good look at the pump impellor by removing the filter and checking for debris.April 13, 2005 at 3:53 pm #131488Martin

….and if you’re in a hard water area then it will most likely be scum blocking the internal and external tubing…that won’t need any parts at all but a bit of hard graft and a strong stomach! (you might get as much as two pints of the stuff out ;))

Martin and BHS-MAN,
Thanks for the prompt reply. Very glad that I checked first. I had checked the filter and impellor but had another go and discovered a white paper clip was blocking the impellor about half way through a turn, which is why I missed it the first time. Thanks so much for your help.
Jamie.
