Bosch washer (WFL2260) won’t drain ‘normal’ programm

Hi All,

My problem is a little more peculiar than the usual ones where the machine won’t drain or spin. During a normal programme, when the cycle reaches rinse/drain/spin, it just stops and eventually the ‘End’ light starts flashing.

I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps and confirmed that:
– filter is clean
– drainage pipe is clear
– motor spins

I did all of these by draining the machine, running water through the outlet pipe (clearing lots of gunk in the process) and running the machine empty with 1-to-2 litres of water in the drum and on a ‘Drain’ cycle while leaving the filter cap off and observing the motor spinning.

I am finding that with clothes in the machine, it simply won’t drain or spin. Each time I drain the machine and then run water through the outlet pipe, I see water coming out of the filter – there is no blockage there. Then, when I add water to the machine and run the ‘Drain’ programme, it drains! Moreover, I can then also run the ‘Spin’ programme and that will miraculously start working too!

I’m pretty sure if I try and run the normal programme again, it will stop again.

Any guidance on what’s going on would be appreciated.
