Just a general question,
i know when installing a new gas hob you should generally allow a clearance of 700mm to the cooker hood if they don’t specify in the installation manual, however what is the rules if you are changing the cooker hood and leaving the gas hob in place, do the same rules apply ?
If the hob and hood are from the same manufacturer then you can go by their distance normally between 600mm-800mm.
If the appliances are from different manufacturers then they fall into the BSEU standard regs. electric 650mm 760mm for gas. If it has a large output wok burner they I would recommend 800m.
