Trying to fit part no. 644726 that has 4 contacts on it
There are only 2 wires so not sure which ones to use
2 and 4 on old plate
On new P1 is hard connected on element to 1a on temp limiter
1b 2b 2a are free
There is 4 on element
Any help please

fairly simple to work out
new ring has a hot light connection so is open circuit till it gets hot so you will only get the element resistance across 2 of them
see picture put one meter lead here and go round the other 3 till you find the element

the other 2 are for hob hot light, not used on yours at a a guess. 1 pair of contacts therefore should be open circuit and not connected to the ring element at all, ignore that pair. The other connection will go through the limiter and then through the element circuit itself. Use that one for one wire and the one on the side of the ring for the other- its a single ring so not too tricky. Does anoy me that they keep changing these connections. often find wired wont reach their new destinations.
