The light in my Hygena AE6BMS oven is no longer working. I ordered a replacement from UK Whitegoods but the bulb is quite complex and the old one seems quite firmly fixed in place. How do I remove the old bulb (e.g. not sure whether it just needs to be pulled quite hard, or if I need to twist it, or do something else)?

Hi Dave, the picture did come out quite small! I’ve attached a larger one. It doesn’t screw in – there are connectors that stick up (or down) at the back as well as triangular fins that stick out (you can see one near the glass bit). Does this help?

oh i see you are trying to replace the whole lamholder

    take back off oven
    disconnect wires
from the back, keep pressure on the old lampholder with one hand. with the otherhand using a small screwdriver push each of the barbs in (triangular fins) till it pops through the hole
when old unit is out the new lampholder should only go in one way. take careful not of which way the terminal face as if you get it wrong the cables may not reach

Actually I just wanted to replace the bulb, but it looks as though I’ve ended up buying a whole lamp set…! I’ve taken the bulb out of the lamp set and replaced it – it was quite straightforward. Thanks so much for your help.
