My Whirlpool AWE 6722 toploader stops after taking in water, after about 15 minutes and then displays an error. It doesn’t have an lcd screen, only flashing leds (spin speed leds) as an error indicator. It has 5 leds, the manual says:
1st (“0”) “Water inlet fault”
1st (“0”) + 2nd “Draining fault”
Other combinations “Electrical components fault”
1st (“0”) + 4th “Water Stop fault”
3rd “Foam detection / overdosing of detergent”On mine the first (bottom) and 3rd (middle) led starts to flash. This would indicate an “electrical components fault” but this is of course a bit vague….does anyone have more information on the error codes?

i personally have no access to fault codes on this machine but reading between the lines I think it may be your heater. it takes approx that time for the machine to fill and figure out the temp is not going up inside the drum
will it do a rinse and spin programme as the heater is not needed then ?

Thanks for the quick reply Dave. That sounds logical, I will check if it rinses/spins later today. Is it likely to be the thermostat or the heating element, or are they usually replaced at the same time?

Apparently they are two separate parts for this machine. The machine finishes the rinse/sin cycles as normal, so I’ve ordered a NTC to start with. I’ll report back with the result.
