ParticipantHi all, just lookinfgfor some advise really, my Miele washer dryer WT2670 has a developed a small issue. Washing is ok but drying clothes leaves the clothes soaked and steamy, almost like the machine is allowing water in the drum whilst drying. I’ve also noticed the the rinse out fluff cycle leaves water in the drum and I have to use the drain and spin cycle to remove.
Any suggestions?, don’t mind getting stuck in to avoid the costs!

have you cleaned the filter ?
when the machine dries it uses a small amount of cold water to condense the steam so if this water cant drain it will fill upDave

if it has not got a hole in it dont replace it
take it off and run a hose through it, if its not clear bend is aroung to loosen crap and rinse again
to be honest if your going to have a blockage it more likely in the sump hose
you dont use colour catchers do you ?Dave

you have to take the front off the machine
door rubber clip off and unclip rubber
take kick strip off
remove screws from bottom of casing
remove screws from door lock
remove large single screw bottom of doorthink that’s the lot, it should pull out a but at the bottom and drop. take care to remember where the emergency door release goes
after that you can now see under the machine to access the sump

Would this explain why it drains fine during a normal wash and only doesn’t drain during a dry? Been using it all weekend for washing a no issue. Only drying leaves water in the drum

i would not have expected that. i would expect it to affect both wash and dry.
unless the pump is overheating and shutting down.
On wash pump is used for short bursts but on dry its used more as programme last longertry running a dry programme with no clothes in and see what happens. put a pan of water in the drum before you start and see if it pumps that out at the start of the programme

Just did a quick test like you said, water was drained straight out, did a half hour dry all ok right until the very end (cool down period) when a bit of water appeared literally 10 seconds from the end seemed to drop from the top of the drum maybe????)

only thing I can think of is a faulty valve. some valve can take time to close when switched off.
or the machine is letting water in at the end you could watch the soap draw to see if water enters from theremy next check would be to look at the valve that is used by the dryer. you would have to disconnect the hose coming out of it and aim it into a bowl. you would then need to run the dryer till valve opens then pause machine and see if it turns off instantly

i had problems with a miele not draining intermittently there is an air bleed hose which comes from the pump to the dispenser it was blocked so got air locks in pump and it wouldn’t drain worth a look may have to remove side panel good luck.
