Hello all.
My Hoover W/M needed a new bearing set in the drum.
I ordered and installed the bearings okay and built the machine back together making sure everything is correctly wired and in order.
I switch it on and select the programme etc. But when I press start (the ready light is flashing), nothing happens.
Normally the door clicks ‘locked’ and the water starts to fill. But nothing happens. The door does not ‘click’ locked and therefore the lock light doesn’t illuminate.
Everything has been cleaned through.
I blow up the pressure tube and hear two clicks and after the second click, the pump starts up and pushes out any water left.
But nothing continues after. I have tried various programmes and settings but still the ready light flashes.
So annoying. 🙁
So does anyone have any suggestions please? 😉

How have you got the pump to run this will only work if the door lock light stays on? I would suggest changing the door lock if the door lock light doesn’t stay on.

Yes, when I blow into the pressure switch, the pump kicks in and drains any water (I hand filled some of the drum).
The ‘lock’ light does come on.
When I let go of the pressure on the pressure tube the pressure switch then clicks back twice and the pump stops.

So when you start a wash programme the door locks then? I need to start at the beginning as the water valve and pump work together. For me to help solve where you have gone wrong we need to confirm door is locking

Thank you for your much needed contribution, Kaibart.
Okay, I turn the spin dial to 1500 and turn the programme dial to a 40º wash and press start. Nothing happens.
Normally the lock light will come on, here the click of the door latch lock and then the solenoid open to allow the drum to fill with water/soap via the soap dispenser.
Like I said if I disconnect the pressure tube from the pressure chamber and blow into it the drainage pump starts. The locked door light is also illuminated.
I know my way around a washing machine but this has stumped me. :bang:
I hope you can help as I am recently divorced, and I have my two young girls living with me. Their Mother is no longer wanted or bothered with. :rolls:

the pump runs because of the overflow contact in the pressure switch and that’s all. it is not being controlled by the timer
double check the motor and its connections

Hello.
I have disconnected the motor from all it’s wiring and reconnected.
Still nothing from the W/Machine.
A month or so ago, I successfully replaced the carbon brushes in the motor. So all in all the machine is or should be in great working order for a bit while longer now. 😥

When you press start does the red light move to the wash symbol phase or does it stay on stop & flashes?
If it doesn’t move then did you remove the ribbon cable to or from the fascia module as you can connect these upside down…

Try selecting a spin programme and see if the door locks, I can’t work out how the door is locking when you take pressure switch hose off 😕 The only thing I can suggest is checking all the wiring to every component when you remove the drum on these to do a bearing change the water valve wire on the back sometimes catch on the drum pulley, do you have access to a multimeter of so check the following
Water valve should get a reading of 3-4 kohms on both valves
Pump should be around 180 ohms
Heater should be around 18 ohms
Ntc with 2 yellow wires should be a reading in kohms.ive uploaded the test proceduce for you to try also hope this helps youRe: Hoover 1500 HSP 15 not starting….

When the machine is ready to go the red light stays on and the stop light flashes.
I disconnected the cable and turned it around to see what happens. Some of the lights illuminate but very poorly, so it’s fair to say the cable was correctly connected. I returned the cable back to it’s correct position.

When the spin programme is selected the door lock does not happen. Nothing happens! 😮I have gone around all the wiring and as far as I can see, all seems to be correct.
Unfortunately I can’t get my hands on a multimeter, though I did check the heater, solenoids with a circuit checker and all seems to be okay.
I have followed the auto-test sequence but nothing follows the instructions. The stop light simply flashes.
One query I may have, is if you look at the bottom image, to the left is a red cable not connected to anything.
I know there is a black cable version like this that is cable tied (to the spin speed dial) as it must be used in another version of this machine.
So, should that red cable be connected to anything or is it a cable for a different machine that shares the same wiring loom?

Looking at the pictures all the wiring looks ok I personally would try a door lock is the handle on the door ok ? Try pressing the start button and carefully try to engage the door lock by using a screwdriver
