    Hi,

I have a Zanussi ZDC37200W condenser dryer which has started getting too hot on the synthetic cycle. I presume that there must be a thermostat somewhere but so far I’ve not been able to locate one. I’ve had the lid and back cover off and made sure that everything is clean and free from dirt and fluff. Please can someone give me some guidance on where and what to look for?

    Many thanks,
    Wizz

Thank you Dave, I’ve found it now. Am I correct in assuming that this thermostat is probably the culprit and are there any tests I can do to confirm? I’ve checked continuity and that is ok but then that is what I would expect. I’m assuming that it doesn’t switch but then without taking the control board out I can’t find a point that I can monitor. Is it actually a thermistor and if so what should be it’s default resistance value?

    Many thanks,
