Hi there, i joined up to look for info in the past for a previous issue with but ive now got another fault on my cooker.

The faults are on the small conventional oven and grill.

The small grill will still get hot but it will either trip the electric after so long in use or when we turn the grill off.
So i took a look at the switch and cleaned it up and the electric would no longer trip when turning the grill off but will every time the grill is used after a length of time.

    Other fault

Also since i had a look at the switch and put the cooker back together the conventional small oven will no longer heat up at all.
I thought i maybe got the wiring wrong on the selector pins but i have checked against a wiring diagram i managed to find which im pretty sure is for this type of cooker and it looks correct.

The conventional oven i believe uses the top duel element and also one in the base. It looks to me like the top inner element is used for the grill and the outside part of it is used for the oven function.

I thought i would replace the switch which looks like this

    https://www.4kenwood.co.uk/cooker-oven/ck446-c9y0kw009a/oven-function-selector-switch-small-oven/product.pl?pid=957949&path=590749:606541,261565&refine=function+selector+switch&model_ref=214354

however when i recevied the switch it looks the same as this one

    https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/cs161-de-longhi-cooker-oven-selector-switch

So both switches look completely different and they seem to have different pin numbering so i am unsure if i can actually use this new replacement part on my cooker.

    Has anyone got any ideas?

    Happy new year!!

    Hi

Where did you order the new selector switch from?

Checked for your model number in our shop and the correct one is this one.

Thanks for the quick reply Don. I originally bought one from an online shop a long time ago but when i took the cooker to bits i realised it was the wrong part but i had the part that long i couldnt remember where i ordered it from so i then ordered a second one from ebay as i wanted it fixed for christams dinner and i seem to have been sent the same one again which is not the one listed or shown in the picture.

If the switch you have linked me to looks the same as the picture i will order that one, thanks

Hopefully that will help with these faults.

Ive sent a message through the site hopefully someone will pick it up.

The pin out looks completely different. And there’s no diagram or anything with it.
