KeymasterTwo days ago my Servis Fridge (not frost-free) defrosted all by itself.
The fridge light is still working but the small freezer box is not icing up and the interior temperature will not rise above room temperature.
The following information is on the back of the fridge.Aspera
BP 1072Z
221 CA07
220/240V/50 H-Z
Ester Oil 200cc
R134aBarcode 261 421.
Any suggestions, please?

KeymasterCould be either a thermostat/module fault or compressor and/or related bits. 😕
Very hard to tell with any more information with the description given.

Thanks to kwatt and jongriffin for their replies.
I cannot hear the compressor/motor running and the whole outside of the fridge, including the back, is at room temperature.

Further to my earlier posting today, I forgot to mention that it is difficult to turn the interior temperature dial.

Participanthas the fridge plate at the back got silver pipes running behind it (heaters) if so a VT9 thermostat should do the job (if yours only used 2 wires and earth, use pins 4 & 6

Gavpo,
Thank you for your reply of 04/04/05.
Sorry for not responding sooner.
I have been away from home but have now returned to face the problem. The narrow pipes at the back of the fridge (outside) are black, not silver.
Does this make a difference?Irene.

To Dales-Electronic.
Thank you for your reply.
The model number is M7041. Below that is the number 99350461.
There is no number beginning with 200.
The only other numbers that I can see are as in my original posting.
These include 221 CA07; 220/240V/50 H-Z and Barcode 261 421.

M7041 is an under counter fridge with ice box.
It sounds like the thermostat has gone, especially as it’s hard to turn.
An easy enough and relatively inexpensive repair, check repairs@ and the directories for an engineer near you 😀
