Hi
I recently replaced the broken belt on a friend’s Bosch WTE84037GB tumble drier. Span it up after the repair and all seemed good. However, the owner now reports that it only starts tumbling when a small load (a few clothes for example) is in it. A wet bath towel is too much and it won’t start.
The cause of the original belt breaking was drying a pair of curtains with sewn in curtain rings. One of these jammed between the drum and the tub, preventing the drum rotating and the belt to break. I’m not sure if this is linked to the current problem though.
My (uneducated) guess is the motor start capacitor is U/S. Is that a reasonable assumption?
