Good afternoon,
I am pointsman and have recently joined this forum.
I recently ordered an oven safety thermostat from UK Whitegoods for my SMEG375 Cucina oven. From the picking list, it is listed as having a cut off temperature of 190 deg C for this model. Upon removing the old stat, I noticed that this is rated at 100 deg C.
The main oven stat is fine and keeps the temperature (within about 10-15 deg C) checked with a Fluke temp probe at various settings.
Can anyone confirm if this higher temperature safety stat is correct? It seems that 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} over the original temperature is excessive, bearing in mind that the oven has been working fine for the last 10 years without a problem until recently when it has been temperature tripping.
Any help would be welcome.
Thanks,
pointsman
