    The element was wet to touch and the stat was open curcuit, so I assumed the heater was gone….

    Fitted a new heater but still there’s No heat….. the 3 purple wires going to it from the pcb – I have power to the 2 end wires but still No heat??

    Is this a pcb problem or is there something I’m missing?

    Are you sure its Samsung I get Siemens

    Yes sorry it is a Siemens, my mistake

    But the problem is still the same, any ideas?

    when you fitted a new heater, and tried the machine, did you have wet clothes in it as some dryers don’t turn on the heat unless they detect dampness

    Yes I did put a handful of damp clothes inside then let it run for a few minutes on 3 different settings but still no heat?
    I was convinced it should have worked?!!

    well my next step would be to check the solder joints on the relays. After that I would suspect relays and check if coil voltage was present or not

    Also did you try a timed dry as this can sometimes bypass some of the sensors
