Sounds a bit like the German car emission tests all over again

That’s how Dyson and their legal team wants you to think about it, yes.

I,ve just bought a new vac for the van £39 from Wickes. My last one, same machine, lasted five years does the job perfectly. I know Dyson is not a wet pickup but if you start to factor in price difference where is the efficiency ? Except for Mr Dysons bank balance

the old hoover juniors were about 400w and did the job Dysons are at least twice the power so you could argue contribute twice as much to global warming lol

More if you factor in how long the average Junior went on for versus a piece of plastic Dyson will survive in use for.

Still see Junior’s and Seniors in for repair some are over fifty years old. Dyson 50 months if you are lucky!!

But aren’t Dyson equipped with filters that clog up a lot worse than bags, just at a slower rate? When customers lend me their Dyson to defluff a dryer, I generally find they have incredibly poor suction.

that’s because not many people read the instructions and clean the filters. At least with a paper bag customers get better air flow over time so motors last longer
