Hi All,
We have a Beko WM7120W washing machine that’s now about 7 years old. The other day I pulled a lump of rubber out with a load of washing which I subsequently identified as being the inner part of the door seal, where the seal would normally rest nearly against the drum, down to the drum clamp section. Assuming that the machine had had a good life and rubber wears out, I purchased a replacement seal and fitted it. I then ran a rinse cycle to check for leaks and put a round of washing in on a cottons cycle at 40. Having got the washing out it is evident that the new seal has failed in the same place around significant portions of its circumference. It appears as if the action of the drum is ripping the seal to pieces. Is this likely to be a fixable problem, or time to go shopping for a new machine?
