My machine suddenly started to make a racket during spin cycle, it sounded as if there was something stuck in between the drum and the outer drum, I got a torch and tried to see through the holes in the inner drum but couldnt see anything.

I removed what I can think of as either a thermostat or a pressure sensor in the back of the outer drum and looked for something in there but I could see nothing, but I noticed that when I spun the drive manually the drum did not look as if it was round ie it did not run true. The bearing has about 1 mm of play and I suspect the bearings have gone, if so how would I replace it? is is worth it and what would I need tools and parts.

    Thanks

We can’t tell you exactly what is involved in replacing the bearings from the work point of view. It is a matter of replacing the rear crosspiece in its entirety – p/no 283726 £112.08 plus VAT plus P&P 😯 .

Best bet would be to go to http://www.bshappliancecare.com and follow the links – the exploded diagrams will give you a good idea of what’s going to be involved.
