    Hello, any help appreciated on how to get at the thermostat on a Whirlpool ARC1731/1 larder fridge. I suspect I need to remove the door, but preferably need some confirmation. The thermostat is now set on max and the fridge is just about keeping cool. Used to be set on 3 and was fine so suspect that thermostat needs changing. Nothing in the manual that gives any indication on how to change the thermostat.

    That doesn’t sound like a thermostat problem as it’s a simple on or off, no in-between as explained here:

    Thanks for the speedy response. Does anyone else know what the issue could be?

    Sounds more like a refrigerant system issue. Compressor, gas etc.

    could be the termostat does the fridge cut off and on ? if it doesnt . more than likely compressor. or gas low ,, had a few whirpool states not regulating temp well.. .,
