ParticipantHi, has anyone come across this. The small oven switch is faulty and I bought a genuine replacement. The original has 5 spade connections, the new part has 7. It’s not a terminal for terminal replacement, but has the correct part number so has been altered by Cda. How do you connect it? I twice but the oven didn’t work in either configuration.

ParticipantSwitch came from Uk white goods. Both switches have numbered terminals, but they don’t all fall on connections, so where there’s a 3b on one that’s connected, the 3b on the other is a space for example. There are more terminals available than wired connections on the new switch, but the spaces don’t correspond, hence it’s not one for one.

ParticipantYes I’ve double checked with them. The schematic of the cooker shows the original 5 connector switch with the same part number as supplied, but the new switch is 7 connector. Other sites have the same switch available, but none have details of how to connect. None that I’ve found anyway.

Moderatorok so we can assume it should fit we just need to figure out how
from what I can see of 2 pictures of the different switches is they do have the same number of connection but some of them have 2 terminals to the same place
