Looking for advice. When investigating a problem with my belt, I found the wheel had dropped off due to the bolt holding it to the drum having sheared off. Is this repairable or would I be as well buying a replacement washer dryer

if the old bolt can be removed then it may be possible to fit a new bolt and pulley if its needed

Thanks Dave, the head has sheared off but there is enough of the bolt to grip onto. Would you advise to use a blow torch to loosen the threads (they seem solid) and then reapply loctite when installing the new bolt?

if you can heat it yes but be careful you don’t melt the plastic tub. if you cant grip it you may have to drill and use a stud extractor

as long as the bolt is properly tightened then you may not need Loctite thread lock but to make sure it may be an idea

make sure the pulley is a good fit before you lock it up. it should fit on the shaft and have no play so it does not work loose
