Moderatorcant think why it would only start doing this at the end of the programme
this unit was built 2005 so at 15 years old some components wont work as well, so with the age taken into account the 2 components that normally cause this fault are
1 water valve. the amount of water entering the machine per second may be reduced by on old valve. the machine counts the water in and is expecting a flow rate of ?? liters per second ( dont know the amount) if it falls below this the light comes on
2 impellor jug. This device actually counts the water in and had a few of these fail. they count the water in in pulses but the switch degrades with age and skips more and more till the computer thinks there is not enough water going in
as said these fault normally only appear as the machine is filling so what you are saying does not make sense

ParticipantHi Dave
Thanks very much indeed for your prompt reply.
Just to give you more clues. “Water check” stay on until the end of cycle!!
monitored the matrix on two occasions and it’s not full of water? Is this related to the problem?
Many thanks for your massive help!
Regards

Moderatorwhen during the cycle does this light come on ?
or does it vary
it should only come on while its filling but may then remain on as a warning if the unit get enough water

Moderatorsounds like your heater is not working. Thats where your mould is coming from
on these early models first place to check is the timer. there is a relay that controls the heater and bad solder joints are common

Moderatortimer is the electronic panel under the buttons you use to set the programme
remove it
open it up carefully and inspect the panel solder side and look for bad jointsDave
