ParticipantMy Beko 1530W dishwasher has a leak. This happened earlier in the week, then stopped. We ran a couple of washes successfully but when we did a clean programme today, it started leaking again.
From underneath, the water seems to be coming from the open end of a grey component on the right. There is no obvious water leaking from anywhere else, although the puddle in the tray made the sound deadening felt wet. I checked the pump (it could do with a new seal, but it isn’t leaking here), no split or loose pipes, nothing cracked, everything clean.
Please help!

Moderatorwould need 2 things
1 an accurate model number
2 a pic of the part to know what you are talking about

ParticipantDave,
I have taken a photo of the part I think is causing the link, but the upload failed with a message saying that it exceed’s the group’s upload quota. The photo is only 186.7KB, but it says that the maximum I can send is 19.5KB… I’ve resized it to the “smallest” resolution I can, but it’s still too big at 57.9KB!
There is a pipe that leads from the sump up to a grey moulding on the right side of the machine. At the top end of this is a large hole that leads into the dishwasher, at the bottom end there is a smaller hole that is open. The pipe that leads to this part was blocked and I cleared it before running the machine again. It might be that there is a blockage inside the moulding, which I might have a go at removing and cleaning in case it is blocked too. The photo possibly makes it clearer.
The sticker on the plastic cover gives a stock number 7669743842 and a serial number 10-104896-11.
Thank you!
Jonathan

Part removed, a bit grotty inside, but not blocked (I don’t think). It’s got some numbers moulded on it – 175112 on one side and 175113 on the other; 19101 printed in black ink. Reassembling now!

Moderatorif you want to post a photo. Post it on another site and then post a public link on here
Full Model number is DSFN1530W
i attach a pic of the part i am guessing it may be
this tube has a drain at the botton that takes any water that enters it and drains it to the sump. If this is leaking then this tube will be blocked. Clear it and all should be well

ParticipantYes, that’s it. I have cleaned everything out and refitted all tubes and reconnected the machine.
But I now know that water is coming from the drain pump joint. It was damp when I refitted all the panels but I thought that this was because it had been disassembled for checking. A small amount of water appeared as it started to fill, but after holding the button to drain and stop the machine and the pump activated water started to come out in much larger quantities.
Is it possible to get a new seal?

ParticipantThe joint on the left. The drain pump is just off the edge of the photo.
SKU 1740300300 – on this site, shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/1740300300-dishwasher-drain-pump
On mine, the black ring is deterirating – black grime covering my hands!
Getting there …
April 10, 2020 at 12:11 pm #467847electrofix
Moderatorring only comes with the pump
try taking ring off and give is a wash in fairy liquid. Also clean where it fits in the housing. make sure you rinse well
then put it back and hope. Never had one leak form here but there is always a first time
correct pump is

but they are all pretty much the same so dont know why Beko lists another part no

ParticipantDave,
Already done that, minus the washing liquid, so I’ll have another go. It seems odd that a part like a seal is not separately available as it obviously has the potential to wear out. O rings are available in all sorts of sizes – I wonder if I can get one somewhere else. Talk about built-in obsolescence!
Otherwise, unless I can find another way of sealing it, a new pump it’ll have to be.
Thanks!
Jonathan
PS Just checked your link – there are two different pumps in the pictures. Mine looks like the second one.

ParticipantFinal message! I’m going to replace the pump. I read up about draining problems (ours has failed to drain a few times recently) and although it only seems to be leaking, perhaps a new one is the best way forwards.
Now to wait for the “holiday” weekend before I can order, and hope that despite the collapse of world civilisation it will arrive before next weekend as we have to wash up by hand. We may be stuck at home, but there are many better things to do.
Thanks for the help; it’s good to talk.
Happy Easter.

ParticipantUpdate.
Still haven’t got round to ordering the pump, but I have pulled the old one off and given it and the seal a good clean. I want to give this a final go, but I didn’t make a note of which wire goes where, assuming that it could only be connected one way round. I was wrong! The terminals and plugs are the same.
I can’t find any images on the internet and I’m assuming it matters; please could someone tell me which wire goes where?

ParticipantHere we go again.
The pump leak is fixed. I ran two cycles of fill and empty, and there was no leak at all. I completely drained the dishwasher last night and left it empty.
This morning, there was a big puddle on the floor, and the bottom of the dishwasher (inside) is full of water.
I force drained it (press and hold the start button) and the top two lights – wash and dry – were flashing together. I’ve tried to run a test cycle, but when I hold the start button and programme button all the lights come on, but they don’t go off afterwards. The cycle that did run was fine, hot water, no leaking, so I am happy about that.
Once drained again I checked inside and noticed a constant dribble of water from the inlet on the left, so that must be how it is filling up. I can’t see where it is leaking out, but I assume there must be an overflow somewhere. Would replacing the inlet valve be the next step?
