Candy C 514-80/1 – No Power

I hope everyone is staying safe in these tough times.

I’m hoping to get some advice on my Candy C514 washing machine which has suddenly stopped working. It seems that no power getting to the appliance as none of the lights come on when the rotary selector is turned to any of the On positions.

I’ve done the following checks so far:

1. Verified that the wall socket works by plugging a known working appliance.
2. Verified that the 13 A plug fuse is okay by swapping with another known working fuse.
3. Disconnected and took out the main module to look for any signs of burning, etc. but didn’t notice anything.

I’ve done some research into potential faults suggesting that the main module might need replacing which, although costs considerably less than a new machine, is still a lot to pay for a guessing game.

I’m tempted to replace the suppressor, but merely because that’s the first point of current entry from the wall. I haven’t noticed anything prior that would suggest that the suppressor was misbehaving.

Some more information:
Two days ago I had the machine on its side to replace the worn shock absorbers.

I would like to avoid going on a shopping spree, replacing any or all electronics so any advice is greatly appreciated.
