Hi, we’ve recently purchased a AEG dce73110m double oven which has a fan in both the top and bottom ovens. The bottom oven is quiet when on but the fan in the top oven seems excessively noisy. Is this likely to be a faulty fan? Thanks

or an out of balance fan

check the fan is not catching anything and it looks llike both fans are the same so you could swop them to see what happens

    motor is probably this one

but double check as your model is incomplete and has a 0 missing

Hi, thanks for the reply. It doesn’t sound like is catching, it’s more of a rumbling noise so maybe it is out of balance and I’m assuming that means a new fan?

    yes
if you swop the fans and the noise swops as well then you just need a fan

if the noise does not swop its the motor

When you say swop the fan do you mean just the fan blades?

    correct
although its more then likley the motor if you swop the fans you will be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain its the motor if the noise stays in the same oven

a lot of oven fans use a left hand thread to take care when you undo the nut. it may be either direction

start the fan and see which way it turns. If its clockwise the nut will probably undo in a clockwise direction
