Main oven won’t get to temp on fan oven. gets to about 150 then drops back to 90 and won’t go back up.but works fine when you put it on top and bottom elements and fan. So I’m guessing that the thermistor is okay as they should use the same one for convection and fan so any idea what could be the problem and if it is the pcb what’s the part number ta very much.
I did think about that Dave but this is my sons oven and he has been trying to use it for a couple of weeks before he called me so I would of expected it to go open circuit and stay open or blow his trip.
well there is something odd happening
as you point out the stat seems to perform ok on convection so that seems ok
all you left with is a switch , or element fault
also i assume this model is pcb controlled *have no tech to check) so have you looked for relay solder joint problems ?the only long shot i can think of is the sensor is being heated more by the fan oven

Is the fan definitely running? It would work fine with the top and bottom elements even if the fan wasn’t running but would just be a bit slower to heat, I have also regularly had people tell me that their fan is running when it is actually jammed solid and that they are only hearing the cooling fan not realising that it is a separate motor.
