My oven when you turn the temperature selection button immediately throws up an error errr8 and alarms, it is a SPF 125 oven with serial no. 31031
tried to book a repair and was told the part is a £9 resistor block which will be £100 all in fitted, but they can’t do it for 3 weeks which is obviously a long wait, can anyone shed light on the actual part I need so I can get my local man to do it ?

does this resistor fit the tangential cooling fan motor as I believe this is where err8 points to ?
doesnt look difficult to get to
thanks for your replyYes these are common to fail easy job top off and only 1 screw and 2 wire to it, dave is absolutely right it controls the speed of the fan.
