Hi, one of our engineers has today been out to a bosch dishwasher, which will not always drain properly. The machine will complete a cylcle and drain fully on a intensive 75 degree wash, but will not complete the cycle and fully drain on a 65 degree wash, there is always water left in the bottom. Our engineer has not been able to find a fault with the machine – does anyone have any recommendations on what could be causing this?

    Thanks

    that is an odd one

there is no reason i can think of why one wash drains but the other doesnt

on a lot of later machines the pump is used as a sensor.
When draining the current is higher going to the pump under load but once it draw air it drops and the board senses this to determine if its empty, worn pumps can have a higher current due to fiction which can fool the board into thinking its not empty but your left with water in and i assume no fault codes

you dont state an Enr so i dont know what system we are talking about
