    Hi all

    I have a ikea oven that seems to work fine on grill mode but not on oven modes , fan comes on but no heat.

    Assuming bottom element has gone but dont know which part number i need.

    could someone give me compatible whirlpool or ikea part numbers please or a link to buy

    In that oven, I think the 12NC is 857912415500 from that image, there’s only the upper and lower elements in it that are as follows, cheapest options:

    Perfect

    I ordered the bottom one

    My worry is upper element doesn’t work on anything other than grill so could that also be faulty ?

    I’ll test continuity but hoping bottom one does the trick.

    anything else I should test or watch out for ?

    Thanks and the outer of the upper element should be on when in use for the oven so I’d check that.

    I see

    I’ll test again but if not could it be the thermostat or would the grill working rule that out ?

    when this issue started the red light wouldn’t come on but after 1-2 days it does so I’m wondering whether there’s a thermal cut out or something ?

    The inner element on the grill would still work.

    A cutout etc is possible but not likely with the grill working.

    Thermostat, possible yes.

    But on those ovens the lower element does seem to go for some reason.
