There was a loud ping noise that sounded like a spring breaking on the door of our dishwasher (Bosch SGV57T03GB/07). I pulled the dishwasher out from the kitchen unit and discovered half a spring hanging down underneath. I have ordered another spring. Will there be another spring the other side – maybe that has gone as well.

I can’t see a way of getting to the spring from the side to replace it – does the dishwasher have to be laid on its side or back to get to the spring? I can’t see a video for this model only ones where its easy to get to from the side.

    Thank you

Thanks very much for your help. I have replaced the broken spring, both strings are ok.However the door is leaking now a bit from the lower corners. Do I need to replace both springs to even the tension or does the door seal need replacing or could it be the lower door seal (how do I tell).

    Thank you

give things a good clean. often find gunk in the corners and under the lower lip of the door

also check all the holes of the bars are clear

Thanks very much for your advice. Gave all bits a good clean and so far seems to have fixed the leaking.

There are small areas of wet again under the corners of the dishwasher at the front. I notice after use there is condensation on the outer side of the door seal – I wonder if this is running down causing the wet patches?

give the door and seal a good clean. pay attention to the door as the stainless steel can get build ups that may comprimise the seal

also check all the bars. make sure they are clean and all the holes are free from debris
