Hi – I’ve got a Zanussi ZW171201WA which has stopped draining properly and displays error code E20. I’ve cleaned the filter, checked the hose and replaced the pump and its still doing it 🙁
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Thanks for the reply Dave – if i just switch it to the drain programme it doesn’t finish draining – it starts and does about half and then freezes but doesn’t give an error code. I can get it to empty by repeatedly restarting the drain programme. If I try a normal programme it seems to work fine but then can’t spin because of the water so then gives an E20 error code

    fill with water does it

A drain quickly so you can see the water going down and then reports E20

B drains very slowly and reports E20 after which there is still water in the drum

in that case you have a blockage you just have to find it

i would take the sump hose off the drum first

I assume you have tried taking the outlet hose off the sink or where ever its connected and tried draining into a bucket. Just to eliminate blocked sinks etc

OK thanks, yep i’ve got the outlet hose draining in to a bucket – i’m not sure where the sump hose is but I’ll google it 🙂
    Thanks for your help

sump hose is the large hose that leaves the bottom of the drum and goes to the filter/pump
