Has anyone else experienced a problem with card payment on ASWO? I’ve tried three times to checkout for a £200 order, each time the card payment states successful, but ASWO are still showing the payment as pending. So the available balance in my account is now £600 lighter, but my goods are still stuck in the basket. A problem with ASWO’s payment processing system apparently. Currently trying to liaise with them to find a solution to enable my order to proceed.

An update, ASWO sales have arranged a direct debit facility to enable my order to be released.

Their card processing issue still remains, so if you are paying by card, even if the payment is apparently successful, make sure your order transfers from the basket to Orders in Progress.

    Thanks for the info.

    Was just about to order!

I’ll leave it for after the Bank Holiday.

A further update, all three payments were apparently successful after all and have been taken from our bank account. So the net result is we have paid £600 for our £200 order.

My original expectation was for delivery on 29 April, but with the delay in despatch and a further delay yesterday at my local DHL delivery station, delivery is now not expected until 4 April. I have had to postpone repairs for 4 customers until after the bank holiday – not impressed.

had the same problem, it seems the payment problem is just a mastercard problem as i have a pending basket because of it. They said Visa was ok but I only have an Amex card and dont want to use my personal debit card

will recheck next week to see if problem has cleared. checking my CC account i see the money has been allocated its just not been finalised

ASWO are not always cheapest, but my shopping basket is cheaper than other distributors the majority of the time. I’ve only really tested tech info for brands I don’t have direct accounts with, but for those I’ve tried (eg LG, Samsung, Vestel), if I type the model number into the search box, up pops a link to a comprehensive pdf document. Customer service, eg in responding to problems or return requests generally beats all the others hands down.

My car is Mastercard also (debit card). I suspect the money will leave your CC account tomorrow, but may not release your basket.

‘ve just received our first monthly invoice under the direct debit facility and it shows the £200 as still owing, due for direct debit on 15 April. So as things stand, it looks like my £200 order will cost us £800.

    it will all sort out

when you make a purchase they reserve the money but if its not confirmed it gets released again but i dont know the time frame

if basket not released have an old barclaycard on visa. have not used in ages but should get me the order and things will sort out from there. dont want DD on the account as i want to control my own money not them

Unfortunately not, 3 payments of £200 have already left my bank account. As things stand, my April statement states another £200 will be deducted on 15 May. I’m not hopeful this will be resolved any time soon.
