Could anyone let me know why the plate warmer/tall slow oven always stays on on my Leisure Classic 90? At the moment the element has been disconnected as its the only way to turn it off. The knob is fine and clicks on/off when turned and it heats up properly.

Hope someone can advise on the part required to fix?

It turned on by the chrome knob at the end named plate warmer/slow oven. Can’t seem to upload a pic…

think that where i would look then. its likely the switch is faulty

as for pics. due to server constraints you need to upload to a picture site then paste a public link

you say the knob clicks on and off, does it do that now the element is not connected
this is still the most likley but its not cheap
this one i think but double check

if it still click you would need to double check its faulty. you need to get access to the switch. remove one wire and see if the element still heats up. If no you have probably found it. if yes then i cant think of why it should get a feed

with the price of this switch its too expensive to try it and see

As this is a gas appliance and the top needs to be removed to check where the fault is you need to get a gas safe engineer to carry out the repair

Am I missing something here as the part referenced is the thermostat, not the switch. Or are they one and the same?

Looks like they are one and the same as the stat appears to incorporate the switch. Not a nice price as you say.

Thank you for all your responses. The recommended part arrived very quickly and I now have a working slow oven.
